ABOUT THE RUN
The POW/MIA Rememberance Run is an annual benefit motorcycle run designed to honor the POWs and MIAs that sacrificed so much for our country while at the same time helping those veterans still living. The money raised from the run helps us do this in two ways. The first 85% of the proceeds are donated to the Fergus Falls Veterans Home for their recreation program. This program provides outside activities including fishing trips and bowling. Programs such as this are important in helping to maintain the quality of life deserved by the very people that have made it possible. The remaining 15% is being set aside in a special fund in order to construct a memorial in the city of Underwood once enough funds have been raised. WHAT IS REQUESTED OF SPONSORS To become a sponsor, businesses are asked to make a donation toward the run. Sponsorship donations of any amount will be accepted and appreciated. However we have two different sponsorship levels that offer more recognition for the sponsor: Bronze Star Level - $50-$299 and Silver Star Level - $300 and above. Your tax deductible monetary donations help us offset out-of-pocket expenses such as the dinner and entertainment allowing Post 489 to give more to the Veterans Home. We are also open to suggestions if you would like to donate in other ways or have an idea to help us raise money, please call 218-826-6658 or email the POW/MIA RUN. WHAT DO SPONSORS RECEIVE All sponsors will be included on the Sponsor List page of our website www.post489.com. If you have a website, we can also create a link to your site from ours. Silver Star and Bronze Star sponsors will also receive their name in print on the back of POW/MIA Rememberance Run t-shirts that will be sold to help raise funds. If you would like to become a Bronze or Silver Star Sponsor, please ensure we have your donation prior to May 31, 2008 so we can ensure you get included. Be sure to include your website address if you have one.
